Virtually Eliminate Dog Shedding
Dog Shedding Is Why Some People Don’t Own A Dog

Dog Shedding is the main reason that some people do not own one. It is really a shame because dogs are wonderful and with the proper care and products dog shedding can be virtually eliminated.

I personally have two dog; I have Chloe, who is a Beagle, and Caesar, who is a Great Dane (You can see both of them in the picture to the left). They are both shed heavily. Shortly after we rescued Caesar the hair in our house became extremely worse, it started gathering under the furniture and clumping up in the corners and on the stairs. It started becoming a huge problem, it showed up in our food occasionally, all over our clothes, in our cars, and just about every where else….yea gross.

We decided we had to do something about it. We tried several different things, including shampoos & conditioners, brushes, sticky rollers, food supplements, nothing was working. We did a little more research and came across “The Furminator”. It claimed dog shedding was no match for it. We had to try this. We checked it out at Petsmart, for a medium sized one it was $50. So you know where I turned next…The Internet. You can find almost anything cheaper on the internet.

Moving on, we checked amazon where it is over 50% cheaper than at Petsmart. As you can see in the link to the right, new Furminator tools start @ $16.50 at Amazon. Check it out here using this link FURminator deShedding Tool. I will also post a video of it in action.

I waited for it to come in the mail, it arrived and I was so excited to try it out. I sat each of our dogs down in the middle of the living room floor, one at a time, and went to town. By the time I was done there was a pile of hair on the floor about the size of a door rug. That is nothing compared to some of the videos I have seen, but that doesn’t mean it did not work, both of our dogs are short haired and it worked tremendously. Obviously with long haired dogs you will have much more dramatic results.

After I cleaned everything up, the next week or two were the real test. The same day we used the Furminator on them we vacuumed the entire house. We waited….one week….two weeks….three weeks. We checked the entire house everywhere that the hair typically built up…NO HAIR. When we would pet the dogs before hair would just keep coming off and falling on the floor, after that it did not. We could pet them without hair coming off everywhere.

Now obviously you would have to use the Furminator about every month to month and a half to virtually eliminate dog shedding. It is a tremendous tool and well worth the money you will spend on it. I highly recommend it and it is safe to use on the dogs as well. The blade looks like its sharp and could injure the dog, it will not.
